SORRY....For the late post. I fell behind on my to-do list and had to play catch up before the weekend started. Now that I got most of that list ticked off, I can update the blog.
Last night was a busy night at the bar; Besides the much-anticipated BCS National Championship game between #1 Alabama and #2 Texas (which Alabama won in what I thought was a snoozer of a game), we hosted a memorial fundraiser for a guy who recently passed away. The fundraiser was in his honor and it was pretty well attended, which gave you the sense of how well-liked he was. The family who sponsored the event raised a lot of money and from what I understand, it's going towards naming a wing at their temple in his honor. Good stuff.

In the meantime, I'm expecting a pretty good crowd for the NY Jets playoff game tomorrow. While it's good business to have one (or both) local teams in the playoffs, it always cracks me up to see all of the bandwagon fans jumping on board all of a sudden. Where were the Jet fans when they were struggling and ready to call it quits? Oh well, it is what it is I guess.
