AMATEUR NIGHT at 3&L

As we get closer to New Year's Eve, we're starting to see more and more tourists popping up around the neighborhood.  Of course, as is the case with New Year's Eve, the big attraction of the night is the ball drop in Times Square.  Folks come from all over to check out the spectacle and they usually try to make the most of their time while they are in the Big Apple.  Unfortunately, you'll find a few who treat this time as their winter St. Patrick's Day and get out of control. Yes, the amateurs have arrived...

Last night's edition involved a rather large contingent of college kids, in town for the Syracuse/Kansas State bowl game at Yankee Stadium.  A somewhat obnoxious bunch of non-tipping, puking twits who obviously haven't learned the art of drinking in the big city.  They were a generally a pain in the ass and while they spent a lot of time at the bar, we weren't exactly sad to see them go when all was said and done.

We also hosted an impromptu birthday party for a group of friends who also compete in marathons and triathlons together.  They were much more enjoyable to deal with.  Talk about a contrast in personalities...

Groups like these we like...

In a sense, we look at this as a dry run to what we're going to probably deal with come New Year's Eve.  This year we're open to the public so expect a lot of debauchery and more amateurs.  Time to put the game face on!
TONIGHT: Suds n Sports Night featuring $4 domestic drafts (5-10pm)!  Plenty of bowl games, NHL & NBA action on tap!
