SO...WE GOT OUR FIRST TASTE OF SNOW.

I woke up very early this morning to find what appears to be our first bit of snow for Winter 2010. With all of the snow that blanketed the Midwest over the weekend, I was expecting a bit more than this...

If it's going to be as cold as it is, at least give us a bit more than a dusting... Then again, I probably shouldn't complain as I am the one who will have to clean this crap up.

Great crowd for the NY Giants/Vikings and Houston/Baltimore doubleheader.  I'd post some pics of last night's activities... if I had some.  I guess you'll have to take my word for it.

Nice dominating win for the locals, though to be honest, if I hear one more reference to Brett Favre's streak (or simply Brett Favre for that matter), I will scream.  Let's move on already.  The game itself was kinda boring and had a weird feel to it.  Didn't have the energy you would expect for an NFL game; I guess if you had to transplant a game to a city with no loyalty to either team and it wasn't called the Super Bowl, this is what you'd get.

The Baltimore/Houston game was much more intense, with a great overtime finish.  Nice win for the Ravens and shitty loss for the Texans, who pretty much knocked themselves out of the playoff picture with that loss. See ya.

DOOFUS of the WEEK: NY Jets trainer SAL ALOSIWhat. An. Idiot.  The fact that he still has a job baffles me.  His stupid move could have cost someone his career.  And for what?  The guy was far away from the action of the play!  And what does he get?  Suspended without pay for the rest of the season and $25k fine.  Way to send a good message, Jets.

AND FINALLY: It appears that Christmas came early for Philadelphia as CLIFF LEE spurned offers from both the NY Yankees and Texas Rangers, choosing to take LESS (gasp!) money to return to the Phillies.  They immediately become the odds-on-favorite to win the World Series, with a stealth pitching rotation (Halliday, Lee, Oswalt and Hamels).  Sick. Good for Cliffie, as he went with his heart and not the money.  As an Indians fan, it still sickens me that we once had both Lee and Sabathia on our team.  At the same time.  Ugh.

And if you're a Yankees fan, you find yourselves scrambling to fill that HUGE hole in your rotation.  Next best thing out there is former Cy Young winner Zack Greinke, though he's no lock to come to NY either.  I hear that the Pinstripers may not have the right prospects to get the deal done.  Sniff, sniff... what's that smell?  I think that's GM Brian Cashman shitting his pants right about now.  Next time, spend more time working on a game plan instead of scaling buildings like Superman.

DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS is on tap tonight.  Dollar mugs of Bud/Bud Light, all night long.  Discuss the Cliff Lee deal and what the Yankees will/should do.  Or, catch some NHL/NBA/NCAA action.  Whatever you decide to do, just do it.

That's it.  That's all I got.
