NEW YORK: A HARD LUCK TOWN...

It seems to me that Lady Luck has it out for the Big Apple teams this week.  First she denied the NY Knicks not once, but TWICE in their bid to win a game on the road vs the Boston Celtics.  Last night she decided to play a nasty trick on the NY Rangers, first by showing them some love in letting them jump out to a 3-0 lead on the Washington Capitals.  And just when Ranger fans thought they had this game all wrapped up, Lady Luck pulled a 180 degree turn and blindsided them, allowing the Capitals to come back and eventually win the game in double-overtime, 4-3.  Brutal.

Now many folks are quick to blame the Rangers goalie, Henrik Lundqvist  for the loss. But to be honest, he did an admirable job in keeping the Blueshirts in the game, especially when the defense more or less collapsed around him.  It was a shitty loss, one that will come back to haunt the Rangers as they will have a difficult time climbing out of a 3-1 hole, with the next game coming up on Saturday afternoon, in what will be a hostile Washington territory.  Good luck boys...

TONIGHT: More NHL/NBA playoffs on tap with BOSTON vs MONTREAL taking center stage.  Puck drops at 7pm (w/audio), followed by VANCOUVER vs CHICAGO (10pm) and SAN JOSE vs LOS ANGELES (10:30pm).  There will be a LABATT BLUE promo tonight (7pm), featuring giveaways, raffles and Labatt Blue/ Labatt Blue Lime on special (4/$15, while supplies last)!  Join us for what should be a great night of NHL hockey!

Cheers!
