MAMA NATURE SHAKES THINGS UP....AGAIN

2011 has been a banner year for Mother Nature and New York City.  So far she's pretty much thrown everything except for the kitchen sink at us.  Let's see:

-Numerous snowstorms resulting in the biggest snowfall total in recent history.

-Monsoon rains throughout the Spring and Summer.

-Tornado sightings all over the five boroughs.

-Record heatwave with temps hovering over 100 degrees.

To add insult to injury,  yesterday we get our first real earthquake in over 20 years.  And if that isn't enough to make you want to go back to church, we're due for our first hurricane storm of the summer this weekend (Hurricane Irene).  What's next?  Plague of locusts?  Now I may not be the most religious man out there, but I do believe some of y'all need to start praying for forgiveness or something because this is getting downright ridiculous.

While the East Coast Earthquake was the noteworthy news of the afternoon, it certainly didn't keep people from enjoying themselves after work.  It certainly was the talk of the bar during Dollar Draft Madness...

Mr. Morocco describing what he felt during the "East Coast Earthquake"...

Like I said before, there's very little that will keep people from enjoying a cold dollar mug of Bud Light. It is what it is.

TONIGHT: PUB TRIVIA (8pm).  Enjoy $20 buckets of Full Sail Session Ale (Red or Black) OR Labatt Blue Lime, and $4 Mixed Well Drinks (for ladies) during this weekly gathering of pop trivia addicts.  It's free to play and there's always cool prizes up for grabs, such as t-shirts, hats, and most importantly, BAR TABS!

Fun starts around 8pm but we STRONGLY suggest you arrive at least 30 minutes earlier if you and your team want to score good seating (it's first come, first dibs).  This week's theme:

ADRENALINE.

JUST A REMINDER: TWO MORE DAYS BEFORE THE START OF THE WORLD POLICE and FIRE GAMES!  SUPPORT THE GAMES!

Cheers!
