CRUNCH TIME!

It's been a wild weekend for sports fans here in NYC, especially if you've been following the NHL playoffs.  While the NY Mets, Yankees and Knicks have been providing sparks of their own over the course of the weekend, it's the NY Rangers and NJ Devils who are keeping folks at the edge of their seats these days.

Going into the NHL Playoffs, it was assumed that the local teams would have little trouble with their opponents (Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers).  Oh how we're sadly mistaken.  Not only have the Senators and Panthers provided more trouble than expected, they actually have the favorites on the verge of elimination (both lead their respective series, three games to two).

And with the other playoff series providing plenty of upsets thus far (Vancouver, Detroit, San Jose and Pittsburgh all eliminated), it is understandable to see why the locals would be slightly nervous.  In any case, it's now crunch time for the locals.  Win and they live to see another day- lose... and it's a wrap for the season.   Obviously we want to see both the Devils and Rangers moving on to the next round.  Can they pull it off?  On paper, they should be able to with little difficulty.  However, this is why they play the game.

Stay tuned.

Turnout from Rangers and Devils fans has been great thus far.  However, your support will be needed more than ever.  Wear your jerseys and team shirts this week and show off your team pride!
