Yesterday was one hell of a day in NYC.  Between the searing record-setting heat (102 degrees from what I'm told the high was) to the impressive monsoon rainstorm that followed in the afternoon, you would have thought that Armageddon had finally arrived.

All morning the weather pundits had warned us about the oppressive heat and the trail of storm clouds that was heading our way; however, I don't think even the experts were expecting what what we got.  Illuminating storm clouds complete with golf ball sized hail, driving rain that tore through anything you wore, flash floods and broken tree branches scattered all over the city.  It was scary... and impressive.

The rain was so intense, it even made its way into the bar.  Crazy indeed.  The best part of it, however, was that once the rain ended, the temperature dropped 25 degrees!  The weather cleared up nicely and while the storms chased most people home after work, we still ended up with a pretty decent turnout for our weekly Pub Trivia Night.  Better than nothing, that's for sure.

THURSDAY:  The British Open begins this week, which is always a fun watch.  Can TIGER WOODS continue his comeback with another Majors win?  It's also SUDS n SANGRIA THURSDAYS, where you and your co-workers can enjoy $4 pints of Bud/Bud Light or Coors Light pints and red or white sangria (5-10pm)!   While you're here, you can put your physical/mental skills to the test during our HOFBRAU BEER STEIN CHALLENGE!

The fun starts around 8pm, so if you or your friends/co-workers think you have what it takes to win the Challenge, then show up and give it your best shot!  The current time to beat: 4 minutes, 3 seconds!

And of course, you can catch the NY YANKEES on the West Coast, facing the Oakland A's this weekend, starting tonight!

Hope to see you there! Cheers!
