It was a crappy, cold Columbus Day Sunday in NYC, but it didn't seem to dampen the spirits of Miami Dolphins fans as they showed up in full force to cheer on their beloved team vs the Cincinnati Bengals. With the long holiday weekend upon us, I wasn't sure what kind of turnout we would get.  While much of the Sunday Brew Crew members used this weekend as their "bye week" from the bar, that didn't stop the Dolfans NYC club.  They anxiously filled the spaced usually reserved for the regulars and amped up their spirit as they watched the Dolphins eek out a hard fought victory over the Bengals, 17-13.

One of the guests at the bar during yesterday's game was Cheryl DeLeonardis, President and CEO of  Ocean 2 Ocean Productions, a event planning and production company.  What's so special about her, you ask?  Well, she was also a member of the Miami Dolphins cheerleading squad during the 1972 Perfect Season!

While the Dolphins fans were cheering on their team to victory, yours truly had the rare opportunity to watch the Cleveland Browns in action against the NY Giants. While I must admit there was a spark of optimism when the Browns jumped out to a 14-0 lead, my hopes came crashing to earth fairly quickly as the Giants regrouped and dispatched my Browns like yesterday's garbage, winning going away 41-27. Now my Browns are the only team in the NFL without a win. Pretty damn embarrassing.

After the game, my bartenders decided to let their hair down a bit.  After all, it's pretty tough to keep the thirsty customers happy, especially when their teams win! (Thanks to former NJ Devils goalie @KevinWeekes for the #IHaveNoFiveHole tees!)

TONIGHT: NY Sports Doubleheader: Catch the NY Yankees and the Jets in action at the same time!  YANKEES vs ORIOLES, JETS vs TEXANS!  Enjoy $2 domestic draft mugs and 2-for-1 wine by the glass ALL NIGHT LONG!
