12.12.12. A LUCKY DAY FOR ME (so far)...

It's December 12, 2012 and if you live under a rock and don't get the significance of the day, it's 12.12.12. , one of those numerical phenomenons that occurs every so often on the calendar.  In fact, 12.12.12.  is the LAST repeating date of the century.  Wrap your head around that for a minute.  You will never see another repeating date in your lifetime (unless you plan on living until Jan 1, 2101)! How crazy is that?

They say that days with repeating dates are filled with good luck.  That's why you find a lot of people getting married on repeating dates.  It's brought me good luck so far, (at least with Yolonda Vega and the NY Lottery), so there must be some truth to it.  Let's see what the rest of the day brings.

On another note, came across this today during my travels:  Yes, the rumors are true: Patsy's Pizzeria is indeed closing up.  After 18 years, it's moving out to make room for FATBURGER.  It appears the L.A. based burger chain is ready to invade NYC and Patsy's space will be it's location.  Apparently it's slated to open up by the Spring of '13.  So if you're diet-conscience, our block probably won't be for you as we will now have not one, not two, but THREE burger joints on the same block (Jackson Hole, Bareburger and now Fatburger).

Something's gotta give!

AND FINALLY: We want to give a special shout out to the DOLFANS NYC Club for their generous gift to the I Will Foundation!   Each season, these guys not only show up religiously each Sunday to cheer on their beloved Dolphins, they also conduct several fundraising activities throughout the season and donate proceeds to charitable organizations, including the Miami Dolphins Foundation and the I Will Foundation.  I'm sure we echo Matt Long's sentiments in showing appreciation for everything this group has done these past few years.  Well done guys!

PUB TRIVIA TONIGHT!  Another fun-filled night ahead for trivia tonight!  Free to play, great prizes up for grabs, including a $45 bar tab!  $4 Well Drinks (for ladies), and Miller Lite buckets (5/$20)!

Tonight's theme:  ANNOYING THINGS!
