GOOD TIMES, GREAT GAME!

Yesterday's Super Bowl game was one for the ages.  A tale of two halves, thanks in part, to circumstances off the field of play.

If you were a fan of the Baltimore Ravens, the first half of the game had you feeling pretty confident about your chances of winning your second Super Bowl.  On the other hand, 49ers fans were reeling over what was happening to their team.  That changed after that bizarre incident with the power outage at the Superdome.  Play was halted for over 30 minutes and that seemed to help the 49ers gather their bearings because after play resumed, they mounted a fierce comeback that made what was potentially a blowout, into a fantastic finish.  Whether you agreed with the call (or non-call), it was still a fun game to watch.  Great win for the Ravens.

One interesting aspect about last night's Super Bowl at the bar- the girl/guy ratio.  The number of amount of women who were here for the game vs the number of guys was staggering.  Easily a 70/30 ratio.  So if you were a single guy with any kind of game, this was the night for you.

Now that the NFL season is officially over, it's time to focus on the winter sports season.  Yeah, there's a certain emptiness that football fans will feel with their sport being gone, but that eventually fades away.  And with hockey, basketball and soon enough, baseball & NASCAR to fill the void, there's not much time to mourn.  Chalk it up to a season of good times and great games.  Well done, NFL.
