Last night I got together with some of the regulars online for our annual Third and Long Fantasy Football Draft, (our sixth season). In the past five years there's only been two winners of our league- I won the first three years, while STIFFLER won the last two. So there's a couple of things working here: The obvious bragging rights and ego boost between the two alpha-males, myself and STIFFLER, and the eager beavers anxious to kick us off the top of the hill (the rest of the league). League members include BREW CREW stalwarts T-BILL, SILENT BOB, MR. CHIPS, STIFFLER, and GOLDIE and a few new members (or fresh meat as I like to call it), which makes for an interesting new season. Aside from the obvious finanical windfall for winning this thing, the bragging rights is key. There's nothing like gloating to your friends about how good you are and how they suck. It's a man thing I guess, no other way to explain it.
Now that we've drafted our teams and given it the "once over", it's time to settle in and really get into the NFL season (which officially begins tomorrow)! Damn I can't wait!
