THE THANKSGIVING EXODUS BEGINS!

Today begins the mass exodus out of the city for many folks as they prepare to spend the Thanksgiving Day Weekend with family and friends. While most folks will take off on Wednesday, I couldn't help but notice more and more people getting a head start on the travel chaos by leaving a day early. I guess if you can finagle an extra day off to beat the snarling traffic, then its a smart move.

For everyone else, today's the last day of "work" for the week, for all intent and purpose. Sure, some folks will go in for a half day tomorrow, but really- will anyone really get any work done? Who's kidding who? They will either be hung over from partying hard tonight, or distracted by the daunting task of getting home. So if you employers out there expect to get significant production out of your employees tomorrow, good luck.

In the meantime, crank out all the work that needs to get done today, punch out at quittin' time and head over to the local pub for a night of fun with your workmates. It's going to be a long week with the relatives so you might as well prepare for it now.
