GETTING INTO THE SPIRIT......
Today I find myself blogging from the bar, while overseeing the holiday decorating efforts of OPIE CUNNINGHAM and FIRE MARSHALL ED. Every year we try to come up with a different look to our holiday decorations, this year is no different. I'm not the most creative when it comes to decorating; I leave that sort of stuff to the FIRE MARSHALL, who usually switches over to "TOOL TIME" mode in these matters. So I just hang back, catch up on my busy bar work and give the occasional nod of approval. What we plan on coming up with? Hell if I know. You'll have to stay tuned to find out. Swing by in the next day or two and tell me what you think.
Speaking of holidays, it's almost time for our Annual Third and Long Holiday Party. This is the big party that the bar throws each year at this time to show our friends and patrons our appreciation for another great year. This year's event will take place on Sunday, December 21, 2008, at 5pm. As in years past, a good time will be had by all.
This year, The FDNY Foundation has established a fund for the children's education of Lt. Robert Ryan of 155 Engine in Staten Island, who recently lost his life battling a fire in that borough. He left behind a wife and four children.
Donations should be sent to: FDNY Foundation 9 Metrotech Center, Brooklyn NY 11201. Additionally, we will be collecting donations for the fund at this year's Holiday Party. More details to follow.

TOMORROW: Wednesday Night Pub Trivia returns with OPIE CUNNINGHAM and ALEK TREBECK hosting the festivities. Registration begins at 7pm and the fun begins at 8pm. Bud Light buckets for $15.00 and $3.00 Mixed Well Drinks for Ladies ALL NIGHT LONG! See you tomorrow!
