GET READY FOR A HOT ONE!

Just when you thought you finally survived another heatwave, Mother Nature hits us with yet another scorcher of a weekend. It seems as if what we got in rainy summer weekends last year, we're getting in oppressive, humid weekends this time around. This is great for beach worshippers but for the rest of us who are stuck in the city, ugh.

How hot are we talking? Try 90 degrees today. 98 degrees tomorrow (with heat index over 105 degrees), 93 degrees on Sunday. All humid as hell days to boot.

As always, we'll do our best to keep things cool for ya! (As I pray to the AC gods to keep ol' Betsy pumping the cool stuff)...

IDIOTS WILL ALWAYS BE IDIOTS. Last night we had yet another edition of "Idiots Will Always Be Idiots" (I swear there must be a full moon out because they are coming out of the woodwork). A large group of "Prat Boys" (Preppy frat boys) made their way in to celebrate the birthday of one of their own. The birthday boy, of course proceed to get shit-faced and pukes all over the bathroom. I mean he must have heaved up at least three days worth of crap. Of course, this means instant expulsion from Third and Long. If you can't keep it in, you gotta go.

So before we escort the birthday boy out, he has to sign out his check. So he places his beer on the bar to sign the check and the bartender takes his beer away and dumps it. After signing off on the check, he turns around to find that his beer is gone. He asked the bartender where his beer was and the bartender told him that he got rid of his beer because he was cut off and was getting tossed out. The drunk guy insisted that he get his beer back so that he could finish it. Bartender again told him no. Drunk guy then ask if he could just hold it and that he wouldn't drink from it. Bartender told him to get the fuck out and gave him the stink eye.

Buh-bye silly drunk fellow.


TONIGHT: "Weekend Kick-Off", featuring $4 Domestic Drafts, Mixed Well Drinks and Sangria (5-9pm)! Join FRENCHY and BABY GIRL as they help usher in the weekend!

SATURDAY: "Kick the Keg Saturdays", with $2 mugs, ALL BEERS ON TAP (except premium brands), 12-7pm! Followed by our "Summer in the City" party, where you can enjoy all summer themed drinks like Coronas, Sex on the Beach, Malibu Bay Breeze, SeaBreeze, etc for $4, IF you come in beach attire (bikinis, beach shorts, trunks, etc)!

SUNDAY: "Kick the Keg Sunday" follows the Saturday tradition, offering up $2 mugs all afternoon!
