The Mid-Summer Classic, better known as the MLB All-Star Game took place last night and the bar had its share of baseball fanatics in tow to check it out. Well, to be quite honest, you had no choice but to check it out because there were NO OTHER SPORTS worth watching on TV. I said it before and I'll say it again: This is by far the WORST week on the sports calendar. Sports junkies tend to lose their minds during this week because there's nothing going on. However, that didn't keep folks from coming out and enjoying some nice cold mugs of Bud Light.
Of course, the passing of GEORGE STEINBRENNER dominated the conversations at the bar. We even got a news crew from FOX5 NEW YORK in to interview some of the patrons to get their thoughts/feelings on "The Boss":
Aside from that, it was your typical night of good, pouring fun, hosted by FRENCHY and the "Fun Bunch"...

As some of you know my friend Julia Gallus is currently serving a term of service in Cameroon, Africa through the Peace Corps. She is planning on opening up a vision clinic at a local health center to outfit the community with much needed glasses. However, in order to do this she needs to collect eyeglasses…which is where we come in.
If you have any old or spare eyeglasses (reading, prescription, etc.) that you no longer use and plan to throw away, I will gladly take them and send them over to her. Please contact the bar if you have any questions and to schedule a glasses drop-off.
