Follow the daily interactions of an affable bar manager of pretty cool and not-so-typical watering hole in NYC, in a not-so-typical neighborhood, Murray Hill. There may be some blurbs overheard at the bar, stimulating observations and random thoughts on random things. So be careful, you never know what might end up here....Enjoy and welcome to my world!

HERE COMES THE SUN... SIKE!
Yes, we're in Day 4 of the Rainy Season and there seems to be no end in sight. If this is what it's like to live in London or Seattle, they can keep it. Just making it across the street is a pain in the arse and I've seen at least three old ladies slip and fall today alone. Not the best way to start Hump Day, that's for sure.
One bright note on all of this: We get some much needed rain for the environment. It's been drier than the Sahara Desert the last few months. And my favorite weather lady, LINDA CHURCH tells me that we're in store for a great weekend, so for that, I'm willing to suck it up for another day or so.
DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS proved to be busier than I thought, considering we're in the last week of August, traditionally a dead week in the Big Apple.
There were plenty of fresh faces in the crowd, many of them here for the new school season, whether it be NYU, Baruch College or Yeshiva University. They were pretty stoked to find a place serving up dollar beers and took full advantage of it. Some folks got in over their heads and had to make an "early exit" if you know what I mean. Slow and steady always win the race, especially when it comes to Dollar Draft Madness.
PUB TRIVIA RETURNS!
Don't let a few raindrops stop you from enjoying an evening of Pub Trivia fun! Teams of 1-6 members compete against one another for bragging rights and great prizes in head-to-head battle of Pop Culture knowledge! Fun starts at 8pm but get there early as the place tends to fill up quickly. Snag your prime real-estate location!
While you're there, check out our DUVEL GREEN Tasting (7-9pm)! If you haven't had an opportunity to try out this great tasting beer from Belgium, here's your chance to see what everyone is raving about!
That's It. That's All I Got.

No pictures of old ladies sprawled out in the middle of the street? Come on!
Old people biffing it is always fun.
B to the...
i had the extreme pleasure of handing out the samples of Duvel Green tonight to the friendly, welcoming, and enthusiatic patrons of Third and Long... this is quite the bar- and believe me, i know my bars ;)
This place is fun, comfortable, and inviting... i think they would've made mr. dunn proud- they really do 'capture the spirit of the thing'
(brilliant use of a slapshot quote by the by- that alone should be intriguing enough to warrant a visit;)
well done, sir, well done!
