WE'RE #822!

Recently, the local papers chronicled a local man's quest to hit 1000 bars within a year. His name, appropriately enough is the Barman. He started his quest at the beginning of the year and he's been pretty much up to the task, hitting bars both locally and nationally. He usually hits three or four bars a day and usually stays for a drink and keeps a blog diary of all the places he's been. He's been covered by the media, both local and national and today, he's scheduled to hit Third and Long for a beer and an interview by a documentarian. If you want to check him out, he should be there at around noon. Should be interesting.

Last night was a rather quiet evening on "The Hill". I'm not sure if it was due to the rapid weather change or people laying low, but the whole street was very quiet. My night started out with an interesting story shared by our own SEXY BLONDE; She looked a bit tired when she arrived for work; when I asked why she looked that way, she commented that she had a long night. When prodded for more info, she indicated that she went out to dinner w/clients and they somehow ended up at Scores. Now the thought of SEXY BLONDE at Scores is enough to send anyone's blood pressure up. Then when she said that her boss bought everyone lap dances including her, the images that popped up in our heads....boo yah! Pretty funny stuff. Her boyfriend is a lucky guy.....or was it the strippers who were the lucky ones?

Speaking of lucky, we were also treated to an awesome meal of shrimp and specially prepared green beans, courtesy of MR. LOW-KEY, who's a pretty damn good chef in his own low-key sort of way. He's spoiling us, as we are constantly fighting over his food when he comes in...

NAPOLEON DYNAMITE also made an appearance with two ladies; He said they were friends and I guess it was true b/c after a couple of drinks, the two ladies were all over each other while NAPOLEON sat helplessly by, looking like the perennial third wheel...

THE LADY IN BLACK made an appearance after a brief hiatus. She started a new job in Jersey and thus it's been keeping her away from the neighborhood. She had a brief chat with SEXY BLONDE about cosmetic girly girl stuff and then chatted it up with yours truly for a bit before departing....

The employees of W.B. MASON also stopped by after their basketball game for post-game "debriefing" and cocktails and they partied hard into the night. Everyone also had a trained eye on the Yankees/Orioles game, with playoff implications on the line. After the Yankees won their game and everyone found out that Boston and Cleveland also won, the thoughts turned to the big showdown in Beantown this weekend. Only two of the three teams mentioned will go to the playoffs after this weekend. Only time will tell, and it should be a huge event...

Speaking of which, we will carry both YANKEES/RED SOX and INDIANS/WHITE SOX on the TV's tonight, beginning at 7pm. There will be $3 Domestic Drafts and $5 Cosmos/Appletinis and Frozen Margaritas, beginning at 5pm. Definately stop by!
