IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN...

Where we celebrate (or reflect) on the anniversary of our existance. For some of us, it's a time to be merry; to rejoice, to party or to celebrate in excess. For others, it's a time to look back on accomplishments, achievements, failures, etc. As you get older, no doubt you tend to lean toward the latter and start to look at what you've done with yourself. Eventually you find yourself comparing your lifelong stats with others in your family, circle of friends, and eventually to the standards that our society has set up for you. And for a precise minute, you stumble upon a moment of clarity.... and to be honest, it can be pretty daunting. For some people, it can even be overwhelming....

In my case, however, I take my experiences as they come. I'll reflect on those experiences, both positive and negative, take it all in and simply move on. It isn't worth the energy to try to compare what you have/haven't done with everyone else. What's done is done and you can't change them, so why drive yourself nuts over it? The choices i've made in my life were made for a reason at the time and I live with the results with no regrets. So that being said, I've taken that moment to reflect and cherish, and now it's time to move on. And that's that .

And now for something totally different-here's something to chew on: If your hand was been replaced by a rubber stamp, what would it say? Discuss amongst yourselves....

I'll be back later.
