Follow the daily interactions of an affable bar manager of pretty cool and not-so-typical watering hole in NYC, in a not-so-typical neighborhood, Murray Hill. There may be some blurbs overheard at the bar, stimulating observations and random thoughts on random things. So be careful, you never know what might end up here....Enjoy and welcome to my world!

IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS....
The NY METS staved off elimination last night, largely in part to pitcher JOHN MAINE's stellar performance and JOSE REYES' leadoff home run, to defeat the ST. LOUIS CARDINALS, 4-2 and force a final Game 7. Tonight's game will determine the National League Champs and a berth to this year's WORLD SERIES vs the DETROIT TIGERS. MET fans were hanging on every pitch, feeling more and more confident after every inning; Even when ST. LOUIS mounted a bit of a comeback, MET fans worries were wiped away when PAUL (yes, I like 'em young and tight) LO DUCA scored a timely hit to put the Amazin's up for good. So in 24 hours, the city of New York will either be celebrating a trip to the World Series, or walking around in gloom, wondering what might have been. I'm betting on a celebration.
Catch the game tonight and don't forget it's LITE NITE THURSDAY, with $4.00 ALL LIGHT BEERS (bottles and drafts)! Get there early as the place will fill up quickly! LET'S GO METS!
