Follow the daily interactions of an affable bar manager of pretty cool and not-so-typical watering hole in NYC, in a not-so-typical neighborhood, Murray Hill. There may be some blurbs overheard at the bar, stimulating observations and random thoughts on random things. So be careful, you never know what might end up here....Enjoy and welcome to my world!

CALM BEFORE THE STORM....
Just came in from my morning walk and it is utterly GORGEOUS outside! 65 degrees, sunny with a hint of breeze. Fall is certainly in full bloom. What a shame that this is going to be short-lived as the forecast calls for monsoon-like rains over the next 24 hours. One good thing that will come from it is that it's going to temporary as it is expected to be beautiful again on Saturday, just in time for the Ohio State/Michigan clash (go Buckeyes!). Oh well, enjoy it while it lasts!
So last night I participated in a focus group for ESPN Radio at Madison Square Garden (they are located there). After about an hour or so of bashing/trashing the station for all of their shortcomings, I was rewarded with a ticket to the Knicks/Wizards game, in a luxury box no less! However, after one quarter of miserable basketball, I had to leave. It simply wasn't worth the free beer/hot dogs they could offer. I simply cannot sit through a NY Knicks game. Never could.
On my way home, I popped in the bar for a moment to see what was happening. It was Ladies' Night and the bar had a pretty good crowd again. There was a Molson Canadian promo with a couple of hot blondes running the show. Hung out with H.B.E. for a spell before checking out for the night. Looked like it was a good night at the bar overall. Next Wednesday is our Annual Pre-Thanksgiving Bash, so look out for more details in the upcoming days!
By the way, is anyone as excited as I am for the upcoming James Bond flick CASINO ROYALE? Aside from MR. TANQUERAY anyways (who's a total James Bond freak). I was one of many who was initially skeptical when they announced that they had come up with a new face for the James Bond franchise. And when they settled on DANIEL CRAIG, I said to myself "Are they kidding?". Not only did they come up with a strange choice for the lead, but by far the ugliest guy for the role. Then I started reading Ian Flemming's comments about Bond and it turns out that Bond was originally meant to be rough around the edges and not so polished looking. So I decided to go into this with an open mind and now that the opening is upon us, I'm actually excited to see if this Craig dude can actually pull it off (and from advance reports, he does splendidly). So stay tuned for my review of CASINO ROYALE next week.
LITE NITE THURSDAYS are back ($4.00, all LIGHT beers), beginning at 5pm. See you there!
More updates later!

Swanfather,
Why am I a James Bond freak? Just because I have planned vacations around Bond Marathons on Spike TV? That's absolutely normal and healthy.
Hope to see you at lunch today with Napoleon Dynamite and Mr. Chips.
Your pal,
Mr. T.
Sweet!!! New poll!!! Does anyone really think the Knicks are going to do anything this year? Isaiah will be gone after this season, if he makes it the whole 82 games (I say 82 because they AIN'T getting in the playoffs).
And I'm a little disappointed, no pictures of the Molson girls?
B to the...
ok how come we can't have a girly poll? like who is hotter stiffler or swandaddy's roommate
by the way-the new James Bond is hot.
