Follow the daily interactions of an affable bar manager of pretty cool and not-so-typical watering hole in NYC, in a not-so-typical neighborhood, Murray Hill. There may be some blurbs overheard at the bar, stimulating observations and random thoughts on random things. So be careful, you never know what might end up here....Enjoy and welcome to my world!

BREW CREW SUNDAYS ARE BACK!
Sunday was the "official" opening of FANTASY FOOTBALL SUNDAYS at Third and Long and seeing how I was still a bit under the weather, I enlisted the aid of BLONDE CHATTERBOX to help me out with the crowd. Lucky for me that I did as we were overwhelmed with football fans from the moment we opened. NAPOLEON was the first one to make it to the bar, banging on the windows at 11:30am, dressed in his Pittsburgh Steelers jersey and hard hat. Soon after, fans of different teams began to trickle in and by kickoff, the place was pretty packed. We even got a visit from D.C. from one of our original Brew Crew members, GOLDIE, who woke up at 6am to make the trek up on Amtrak.
I personally didn't get to interact too much with a lot of the regulars simply because we were so busy; thankfully, however, AFRIKA BAMBATTA took the lead by taking a lot of pics, so here was the day, in pictures. Enjoy!
As you can see, it was a pretty raucous afternoon and everyone seemed to have a good time (even though I was tortured non-stop by Pittsburgh Steelers fans). There will be more where that comes from tonight as there is a MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL DOUBLEHEADER (beginning at 7pm) and DOLLAR DRAFTS!!!
ah..... Gentlemen's....
A great start to hopefully another fun-filled season!
