I spent the bulk of the day in bed, trying to recover from a bout with the flu. I got up a couple of times to take care of some bar-related errands but other than that, I was in bed, wiped out, until.. BOOM! CRASH!
The sounds of construction crews at about 10pm taking over 3rd avenue, preparing to do some work. Are you kidding me? Construction NOW? Sure enough, these idiots took over the intersection of East 35th Street and 3rd Avenue and began doing work at a time when many folks are getting ready for bed. Insane! These knuckleheads spent a few hours doing whatever it was that needed to be done at 10pm and by the time they were finished (about 3am), I was wide awake with no signs of going back to sleep anytime soon (hence the early morning post). Freaking ridiculous. I know New York is the city that never sleeps but I didn't think it would be because of this.
Tonight we bring back BEER BINGO/PUB TRIVIA Night after a brief hiatus and not a moment too soon, as I've received plenty of calls and emails asking about its return. The night begins at 7pm with Beer Bingo, followed by Pub Trivia a little after 8pm. It's free to play and it's recommended that everyone gets there early to snag a good spot. There are cool prizes to be won and great drink specials to be had. TONIGHT'S THEME: "Bosses".
I'm going to try to get a bit more sleep before the sun comes up; More updates to come.

I had the flu last week Thurs/Fri/Sat complete with the sweats and chills. Six days later and I still have a congested chest. Good luck with that.
