THE RETURN OF..... PUB TRIVIA!

After a brief hiatus due to the World Series (and the crowning of the NY Yankees as World Champs), we finally get back to what Wednesdays at Third and Long are all about: PUB TRIVIA.

While we all enjoyed the magical ride through the baseball playoffs, there were a core group of regulars who were chomping at the bit to get back to normal and tonight is the night where we'll finally be able to do that.

Pub Trivia at Third and Long has no doubt been the underdog hit of the year, consistently drawing a core following of weekly participants and of course, the curious who want to see how good they are at dispensing knowledge. I actually think there is an "underground" Pub Trivia circuit where teams hop from bar to bar, seeking to dominate New York City bars and restaurants in the Pub Trivia world.

In any case, we seem to have a pretty strong following each and every week and I couldn't have been happier to see that take place. Wednesday nights in NYC tend to be a dead night as a whole as it is the middle of the week and more often than not, folks aren't really in the mood to be out. However, to many of our weekly regulars, Wednesday nights offer a break in the mundane work week; a time to hang out with co-workers and blow off steam, with some friendly competition and a chance to win free swag and bragging rights. In a lot of ways, a night of Pub Trivia serves as a bonding experience between friends and co-workers; We've even seen our share of innocent co-worker "hook ups" take place because of it. Hey, as long as folks are having a good time, far be it for us to dampen the fun.

So if you're one of the few who have yet to experience the phenomenon that's known as Pub Trivia, make it a point to stop by tonight (or any Wednesday night) with a group of friends and see what the fuss is all about. I guarantee that by the end of the night, you'll have had a good time.

Registration begins at 7pm and the fun starts at 8pm! Check out the cool drink specials for the evening at our website!

I feel myself coming down with something (shocker), so I'm cutting it short... for now. But before I go, please take time this VETERAN'S DAY to remember those who defended our country in battle throughout the course of our history and pay a special acknowledgement to those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may enjoy our freedom and the things we often take for granted.

See you tonight!

That's It. That's All I Got.
