MOVING ON...
Last night I, along with the majority of the patrons of the bar, witnessed the completion of the meltdown of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the possible end of the LeBron James Era. The Boston Celtics completed an improbable comeback over the Cavs and sent them out of the playoffs, winning their series 4-2, and moving on to the Eastern Conference finals against the Orlando Magic.
The big question being bandied about in sports circles is: "Where will LeBron go?". That will be the big debate for the sports pundits around the water cooler. As a Cavs fan, I'd hate to see him go because of what he brings to the team and the city, but if he is what I think he is, he will go the mercenary route and look out for himself; which, unfortunately for Cleveland fans, means taking the slow boat out of town. Stay tuned.
While all of this was going on, we had another spirited evening of Pub Trivia, which resulted in one team getting called out for cheating. This team was sitting right next to the Trivia hosts, blatantly pulling out the blackberries, googling answers and such; it was pretty funny watching the whole bar boo the team when they got called out. Good stuff. Overall, it was a fun night, in spite of the Cavs' meltdown.
