Follow the daily interactions of an affable bar manager of pretty cool and not-so-typical watering hole in NYC, in a not-so-typical neighborhood, Murray Hill. There may be some blurbs overheard at the bar, stimulating observations and random thoughts on random things. So be careful, you never know what might end up here....Enjoy and welcome to my world!

DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES, PART DEUX...
If you happened to walk by the bar last night, you would have thought you were in Hockeytown as the place was filled to near capacity with hockey fans (much to my delight), eyes glued to the tv's for two HUGE matchups: a Game 6 showdown between Boston and Philadelphia (with Philadelphia needing a win to survive) and a Game 7 tilt between Montreal and Pittsburgh (with the loser being eliminated).
The majority of the crowd were there to see the Montreal/Pittsburgh matchup and if you were a Montreal fan, you weren't disappointed as the underdog Habs came out swinging and jumped out to a 4-0 lead and never looked back, cruising to a 5-2 victory, knocking out the defending Stanley Cup champions in the process... on the road, mind you! Now the #8 seeded Canadiens get a much-needed few days off before resuming play against either the #6 seeded Boston Bruins or the #7 seeded Philadelphia Flyers. That's because....
Philadelphia, down at one point three games to none, won last night's pivotal Game 6, 2-1 to even the series at 3-3, thus forcing a Game 7 showdown on Friday night. This series has gotten pretty intense, so much so that I actually had to toss a Boston fan after he was about to get into a fight with some Flyers fans after their game. Talk about a heated rivalry!
