After the game, ESPN began airing 24 straight hours of college hoops to hype up the opening of the college basketball season. It's a gimmick that ESPN has done for a number of years and I gotta say, it's pretty cool. Going to bed and waking up to live hoops action is a great way to draw attention to the season (You can catch all of the games at the bar throughout the day).
And if all of that wasn't enough, did anyone catch the overtime game between the NY Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins? Ryan Callahan's game-winning overtime goal for the Rangers was definitely something for the ages. Sweet stuff.
As it turns out, Monday night was a night of highlight reel action in the world of sports. I wonder what we'll get tonight? Stay tuned....
Don't forget to pencil in Wednesday Night to check out our PUB TRIVIA event at Third and Long! Funny thing is, if/when he signs a new deal, all that upfront guaranteed money will go straight to his creditors.
