INVASION OF THE NAUGHTY SANTAS...

It's that time again boys and girls... SANTACON!

This Saturday, NYC will once again be awash with the Christmas spirit as hundreds of Santas invade the city for SANTACON, the annual convention for Santa Claus and his merry brethren.  Throughout the day you will see a sea of red and white costumes of Santa Claus, Santa's elves, sexy Santas, and an occasional Grinch or reindeer. 

It is a day-long holiday clusterf*** of activity that has to be seen to be believed.  I've always found this day to be intriguing as it's not very often where you'll find tens of drunken Santas or elves making their way around the city.  I wonder how many Santas I'll see puking on the sidewalk or being led off in cuffs this year?  I'll definitely have the camera ready this year.  I'm sure we'll see our fair share of entertaining Santas throughout the day.  Stay tuned!

We're expecting another busy weekend at the bar, between the invasion of the Santas, UFC 124 PPV event (also on Saturday night), and the big NY Jets/Miami Dolphins rematch (Sunday), so we're bracing ourselves.  Luckily, the weather is supposed to warm up a bit which is a good thing considering what we've been up against this week.  We certainly need a change, that's for sure.

On a side note, I have a friend who just moved into the city and is currently sub-letting an apartment temporarily.  She wants to find more permanent digs either in Manhattan or Brooklyn in January.  If any of you Real Estate folks out there have a 1BR or Studio apt that might be available, shoot me a note and I'll link you up with the particulars.
