XMAS DOLLAR DRAFT MADNESS HIGHLIGHTS...

3rd Avenue was bustling with activity last night as locals and visitors alike got out for some pre-holiday revelry.  Our bar found itself teeming with happy faces celebrating their last few days of work before making the trek to parts unknown to celebrate Christmas with their respective families.

Of course, when there is a lot of celebrating going on, you'll usually find that one dweeb who gets in over his head and has to be "escorted" out.  This particular "dweeb" took offense to getting the boot, challenging myself and my door guy to a fight, which was comical, at best.  Lesson to be learned:  If you're going to call someone "stupid" for having a job as the bouncer, don't be the drunk guy getting tossed by said bouncer.  If the bouncer is "stupid", then what does that make you?

Overall, it was a very good night for the bars and restaurants on the Avenue, which is a good thing for everybody.  Tonight the fun continues as we show love to the ladies of NYC with our "Ladies Appreciation Night" ($4 mixed well drinks for the lovelies, $5 bottles of Kopparberg Cider & $15 buckets of Miller High Life)!  Hope to see you then!

That's It.  That's All I Got.

You don't want to mess with doormen. I'm sure it's not his full-time job, just something on the side for some extra cash/free beer. The pay is rarely worth getting into an altercation even though, if called upon, that's what you are expected to take care of. I worked a door for three painful months at an older-crowd bar. Everyone loved me, bought me shots even. That's how it SHOULD work. Not always the case.
