Now that the football season is officially over, it's time to move forward with a new focus on the winter sports scene.  NCAA Hoops kicks into high gear, as well as the NBA and NHL seasons.  NASCAR begins it's long season in the next few weeks and very shortly, the familiar call for pitchers and catchers to report to MLB Spring Training.  Can't wait for that!

Along with that, it's time to look at the new beer offerings we have on tap for the current winter season. And since February usually means Mardi Gras season, we're following suit with a special "Party in a Bucket" Theme for the season.  The unique offering features beers from Louisiana to commemorate the Mardi Gras season.  In our "Party Bucket" you'll find:

Abita Purple Haze (Fruit/Vegetable Beer, 4.2% ABV)
Abita Restoration Ale (American Pale Ale, 5% ABV)
Abita Amber Ale (Vienna Lager, 4.5% ABV)
Dixie Lager (American Adj. Lager, 4.6% ABV)
Dixie Blackened Voodoo (Schwarzbier, 5.0% ABV)

Now you'll be able to sample all five beers in one sitting for only $25 per bucket (while supplies last). By the way, in case you were wondering, ABV means Alcohol By Volume.

In the meantime, don't forget to check out our February Beer of the Month: Breckenridge Vanilla Porter (American Porter, 4.7% ABV) A dark, yet smooth drinking porter with a strong, yet subtle hint of vanilla beans. I've heard patrons refer to it as a beer disguised as a vanilla shake. Not a bad comparison! And for the month of February, you can enjoy it at a very reasonably priced $4/pint!

Our hugely popular weekly event is back for another edition, with a $45 bar tab up for grabs for the winning team!  As always, it's free to play and teams of 1-6 people per team are eligible to play.  Fun starts at 8pm but we always recommend you arrive early to get a prime seating spot for you and your teammates.  Get a headstart on the competition by checking out our Third and Long Trivia Page on Facebook on Wednesday mornings to see what the week's theme is.

And for you sports fans, don't forget:  We carry the MSG Networks, which is important if you're locked out of those channels due to the Time-Warner/MSG stalemate.  We also have the NHL Center Ice package for all of your hockey needs.

Once again, congratulations to the NY Giants, Super Bowl XLVI Champions!
