At the start of the NCAA tournament, college basketball fans were floored when it was announced that
Syracuse phenom
FAB MELO would have to pull out of the tournament because of academic "issues" on campus. As soon as that announcement came, many people (myself included) quickly adjusted their brackets and pretty much wrote them off as a 2nd round casualty (at best).

However, the
Orange(men) have surprised me and everyone else by winning the games they weren't counted on winning. Last night's victory over
Wisconsin was proof of that. They were able to handle
Wisconsin's deliberate defensive game and turn the tables on them at times and then holding on for a hard-fought, thrilling victory, thrusting themselves into the
Elite Eight this weekend. Nice job
Orange!
