GOODBYE SUMMER... HELLO FOOTBALL!

As we roll into the last "unofficial" weekend of the summer, it was fairly evident this week that many of our citizens got an early start to the Labor Day festivities.  Foot traffic was light all week, and I swear, if I bump into another large family from Argentina or Spain, I may just scream.  Essentially, it's been a dull week thus far.

The one bright spot of this week has to be AMY SMART's farewell night.  It took place on Wednesday, which was also Pub Trivia Night. The theme for the night was "Mustache Night", so everything revolved around mustaches, which is AMY SMART's not-so-secret fetish. From the theme questions, to drink specials, to real and fake facial hair, the night was a total blast!  At the end of the night, it was especially sad to think that this was the end of the road for one of Third and Long's favorite bartenders, but it was an appropriate send-off indeed.

It was truly a fun night!

Now that it's Friday, I'm pretty sure that while the majority of you will be off enjoying the Labor Day Weekend, we will be open for business most of the weekend. There will be plenty of things going on in our fair city, such as the Brazilian Day Festival (Sunday), The West Indian Day Parade (Monday) and of course, about a zillion street fairs throughout the city. Of course, we'll have plenty of sports on hand (including the return of COLLEGE FOOTBALL) and great drink specials at the bar throughout the weekend!  Check our website for details!
